Interns
Perfect for high school seniors, college and graduate students. Internships are available in arts administration, technical theatre, stage management, directing, teaching and performance. While internships are unpaid, stipends may be available and internships can lead to part-time/full-time positions within The Plaza Organization. Interns must have their own reliable transportation.
Sound Technician/Engineer
Part-time position to run sound for Plaza’s mainstage musicals, children’s theatre (performed by adults), arts-in-educations productions, performing arts academy performances, special concert events, and off-site productions. Must have ability to set-up and strike sound equipment, program and run a digital console, maintain equipment, etc. Must have your own reliable transportation.
Production Manager
Duties include creating and managing production calendars, overseeing the design and production processes, coordinate and participate in load-in and strike, aid in searches and hiring of running crews, coordinate and run production meetings. Upbeat, positive attitude, team player. Possibility of developing into a full-time position. Must have your own reliable transportation.
Crew Positions
Part-time crew positions are available for mainstage musicals, children’s theatre (performed by adults), arts-in-educations productions, performing arts academy performances, special concert events, and off-site productions. Pending an applicant’s interest/experience, positions are available backstage, lighting, sound, wardrobe, spot-light. Must have ability to work as a member of a team, set-up and strike productions. Must have your own reliable transportation.
Wardrobe
Part-time position for mainstage musicals. Responsibilities include assisting costume designer with fittings, costume organization, maintaining and cleaning costumes during performance runs, steaming and pressing costumes as needed, running wardrobe backstage for all performances, minor repairs as needed, communicating with costume designer for major repairs, assist with set-up and strike of dressing room area., etc. Must have your own reliable transportation.
